The Pinoy Traveler website is a collection of useful information about traveling in the Philippines. All content that you see on the site has been gathered from online sources and actual experiences & ideas by our contributors. Not to worry! We love giving credit to our sources.
Our main goal is to be the build the most extensive & organized travel resource website about the Philippines. We've noticed that it is hard to build a custom itinerary for backpacking or even a nice & classy holiday in our islands because of the lack of a centralized information resource site. Options are always limited to package deals bundled together with airlines and their partner hotels. Most of these do not really offer in-depth information regarding the secluded parks, beaches, popular local restaurants and canteens, local delicacies, interesting galleries and all those little things that make you feel like you've actually experienced being there. We want to make these bits of information available to everyone!
Most ideas and opinions stated in our travel articles are born from the contributing author's own biases, research and experience and not to be taken as gospel truth. We just want to share, and if our readers don't agree then they are always free to comment against it or share their own experiences. Different perspectives offer a more complete picture of a featured place, and that's what we're after.
Sometimes we'll also go out of our way to make a feature about a great discovery - new beaches, mountains, bike trails, hobby & sport groups, cool accommodation establishments, food finds, travel deals, bloggers and photographers and exceptional tour guides, or just anything that we think is awesome. Send us ideas to fuel our curiosity!
That said, we would also want to invite YOU to share your travel stories, good or bad; your blog about anything in the Philippines related to travel so we could put your link on our site; concerns - quality of service, transportation, heads-up for polluting and non-sustainable practices so we could forward these to the proper authorities and environmental organizations; and newfound or undiscovered spots for outdoor activities - maybe you've found a great site for surfing and would want to share? We'll review your story, and if its of great quality we'll be glad to post it with a short blurb about you and whatever it is you would want to share about yourself.
